On March 2nd, 2024, the Kurdistan Center for Arts and Culture, in partnership with the Duhok Directorate of Antiquities and Hisense, unveiled Kaiwan Shaban: Blue Orange at the historic Qishla of Akre.

This exhibition marked both the first public event in the renovated Qishla, and KCAC’s inaugural exhibition, thus underscoring KCAC’s commitment to bridging Kurdish history and traditions with contemporary arts and technology.

Throughout its month-long duration, Blue Orange attracted thousands of visitors, making it the largest art exhibition ever held in Akre. The success of this exhibition shows the potential of Akre as a center of Kurdish culture.
